EQUIPT Counseling & Leadership Program
Mission
The EQUIPT Counseling and Leadership Program offers underserved populations the opportunity to engage in the therapeutic process. This program is honorary and connects the applicant with a licensed therapist with sessions ranging from 6 months to 1 year. All services are offered at No-Fee/Zero-cost to the applicant(s) who are chosen. Applications open November 1st and close January 15th. Interviews are conducted January 20th-January 25th. Winners of the EQUIPT Counseling and Leadership Program will be notified via email/phone no later than February 1st.
Essay Prompt: The Nature of Self
This essay should focus on who you are as a person, as an academic, and as a (future) professional. Tell us your history, tell us what has made you who you are today, and tell us how you want to grow. The purpose of this essay is not to be perfect but to allow us to understand you holistically. This essay should be no shorter than one page and no longer than three. Be specific, be honest, and most importantly be yourself.
